Blogger Verses Wordpress Which Is Better?

Which is better, Wordpress or Blogger?

Which is better? Blogger or Wordpress? That depends on your needs and wants. But a free Blogger is hands down better then a Free Wordpress. Blogger is most generous with giving users unlimited space and bandwidth. Plus you get 100% total control of your blog to configure it anyone you want.

Wordpress is a lot more stingy with their offering for a free Wordpress blog. For starters, you only get 3 gigs of space on a free account, and very limited features and authority to configure your blog. They want you to pay for full control.

IMHO Blogger is a better more robust system then Wordpress. I’ve been saying that for the past 15 years! A hosted Wordpress while free, is totally configurable but your responsible for your own bandwidth and space. Hosted Wordpress blogs are also easier to hack in to and always have been. Your better off to just get a paid Wordpress account and purchase your own domain name for it. Better protection on Wordpress server then most servers out there unless you want to pay for a heavily secured dedicated server.

If your running a business, you will probably opt to using Wordpress. Understandably beneficial for Businesses that need total control and money is no object!

Most people will be better off with a Blogger blog. If you’re a business, you may want to use Wordpress but honestly I see no real advantage. Because whatever you can do on Wordpress, you can do on Blogger including getting your own domain name too.

There is no SEO advantage over one or the other, it boils down to looks and personal preference. Which ever way you go, back up your blog! Many people use BOTH! I even use both! I wish Wordpress was not so stingy in there free hosted offering.

What’s The Best Screen Capture Program?

image

My Picks Are

1. Snagit
2. Screen Hunter
3. Ashampoo Snap 6 (aka snapit)

In my opinion, Snagit is easily hands down the Best of the Best for screen captures! It has by far the best interface and the most features and easiest to use. The next closest would be Screen Hunter and Snap it but they look like they are from the past compared to Snagit! Seriously, no bull. Nothing more needs to be said!

Do yourself a favor, just get Snagit! The others simply pale in comparison after it.

How To Spam Twitter And Why

Twitter spam

This is not another annoying article or story about what to do about twitter spam, how to avoid it, or how to report it. No, not at all. This is about how to spam Twitter and why, and how it works. I think it's much more educational to know the how's, why, and what's rather then the same old copy and pasted reporting of how evil spam is.

Who can benefit from this blog post of mine? Every one. Spammers, marketers, and the general public who get spammed.

WHY? The first question we need to address is why spam twitter in the first place? Because it has a very large broad user base. It’s quick, easy, and inexpensive and the turn over is pretty good if you have a decent product or service.

HOW? How to spam twitter is a bit more complicated as there are different techniques and everyone seems to have their favorite method. The most common ways is to create a number of “disposable” accounts. This can be done manually or fully automated with software. You will need unique emails for each account, so therefore you also need to manually or automate the email creation process as well.

Once your accounts are created you need to nest them for about 5 days. Auto-post or manually post, retweet, reply just general bull  shit stuff that has nothing to do with your product or service. This accomplishes two main things. Trust factor in twitters software, and more followers too. You can then start spamming using popular hashtags, keywords, or you can do it the old fashion way. Continue to build your followers base a bit longer then spam. Or you can use direct messaging too. Each has pros and cons. Obviously you won’t be nearly as successful if you do all this manually. It really needs to be fully automated with bots and you need 100’s of disposable accounts. You also need to have a dedicated server somewhere that can switch IP’s for each account.  On a manual level, you won’t be able to handle as many accounts or actions which will greatly reduce your traffic and or profit.

WHAT? This is really a stupid question but some people ask it any way. What do you get out of spamming? Spammers are spamming to either redirect mass instant traffic to a sales page or service, or to phish for accounts to hack. The phishing aspect of it is really very dark and blackhat. Usually this happens from people in one of the Arab countries, Israel, India, China, and even Russia. Americans won’t phish as the laws are seriously heavy and it’s easier to catch phishers in the US and Canada.

This was just a brief intro. Depending on the response or interest I may follow up with more detailed coverage. So leave a comment!

Brief History Of Internet Marketing By Son of Spam!

Son of Spam

Hello, I’m known mostly by the name of Bud Wiser, but also went by the name of Son of Spam. I am the creator of Army of Blogs and Army of Bots and was instrumental in the development and instructions of Automation and Artificial Intelligence in Internet Marketing from 1998 through 2008. I then retired from public view.

In the beginning Internet marketing consisted of mainly spamming search engines. Back then Yahoo was #1 and Google was still an infant along with a dozen other search engines. We used what is called “doorway pages” to spam search engines back then. A very simple yet effective procedure that could produce instant serious traffic. Of course search engines got smarter and eventually doorway pages were no longer effective.

The next great new thing was Tag & Ping! A process of using blogs and Yahoo accounts to improve search engine placement and getting new sites index immediately! This process was effective for about a year but then faded as it’s effectiveness started to diminish.

Blogs remained very popular and effective for traffic and getting new sites indexed. There was no page rank yet but around this time Google did start to play a more important role for webmasters as it was now just as big as Yahoo and would of course eventually become number 1!

Blogs were very effective but you needed many blogs, many disposable blogs, so Blogger blogs were preferred over wordpress blogs. At this time new software was developed to fully automate the whole process. From creating 1000’s of email accounts on the fly, to creating 1000’s of blogs on the fly. These blogs were set on full auto pilot utilizing RSS feeds. One program in particular was very popular, RSS to Blogs!

While thiss was going on, other avenues were also discovered and exploited! CraigsList and Myspace were invaded by mass marketers and artificial intelligence software known as “bots” played a major role. These were good times and I made a bundle of money with little effort. If you knew what you were doing, and had the right software you could easily make $1000 a day!

Around this time everyone and their mother was getting interested in Internet Marketing which opened up a new market place for us targeting wanna-be webmasters. So the sale of ebooks with “Guarded Secrets to Success!” became a nice revenue maker for established webmasters.

I was right there from the very beginning! Those were indeed great times. Around 1998 I started my infamous website Army of Blogs! It was a resource center and place were marketers from every level and software developers gathered. I reviewed every single piece of software that mattered and interviewed many successful webmasters, marketers and software. And I did it all for free. While other “members only” forums were charging for similar services, mine was open for all free. This paid off very well because I got a lot of traffic.

By 2008 I decided to retire from all that stuff, I still done some behind the scenes stuff, but mostly disappeared. I’m planning on bringing some of that back a little. I do miss it a lot. Until next time, remember, nothing ever stays the same. You have to keep changing with the times. There will always be weaknesses to exploit! You just have to find them.

Army of Blogs Update!

Hey word up, have not posted on this blog in years! Many of the links are dead now. I will be starting regular posts again. This is the one and Only Bud Wiser! The creator of the original Army of Blogs and Army of Bots from the 1990’s to 2007! I am resurrecting this blog. I have lost all my other domains. Stay tune for new updates!
